If you have kids you are most likely celebrating halloween at least twice this week. Some schools celebrate while others keep the holiday for after school hours. The Tobin School has their Pumpkin Dash on October 29th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The local fire stations will have their Halloween Open Houses at all the fire stations from 2:00 to 4:00 on Sunday, October 31. There fire trucks will be polished and ready for admiration by your little ones and there will be glow sticks, treat bags and treats for them as well.
If you’re looking for a little Halloween break sans kids. The Boston Sports Club (in Watertown) has a Kids Night out this Friday for children ages 3 and up from 6:30 to 9:30. Our kids had a blast this summer at a birthday party so hopefully kids night out will prove to be just as much fun. If you have any questions or to reserve a spot call (617) 924-0669.
Dancers who take class at Deborah Mason Dance will be in costume this week. I’m sure they’re not the only ones. If you haven’t emptied your child’s backpack or checked email lately, you may want to double check this week or throw a few dress up clothes into the car just in case costumes are needed wherever you go this week.
If you want to get spooked be sure to head over to Fenno Street this year, as every year, they go all out for Halloween. If you have another favorite street or house worth viewing, share it with us in the comments section. There’s a great house with spiders walking along the stone wall over on the “Brattle” side of Huron Ave somewhere.
